John and Emma Bickers
Blogging
We've moved our blog from Blogger to a WordPress blog here, to try and move our stuff into one place. It is usually updated weekly, and keeps a record of our household events. These days the household revolves around our DNA cross product, and my little namesake, John Junior, seen on the left at Emma's PC.
Pictures
A collection of family photos, pictures taken around the place, and images from Google Earth. Most of the photos are taken with a Canon IXUS v, which has served us well for several years. Our video camera, on the other hand, a Panasonic NV-MX500, lost track of its DV port after a few months.
Books
In 1997 I tried to find a copy of The Anabasis on-line, and was unsuccessful, but I did come across Project Gutenberg, a volunteer project that collects electronic versions of books into a free on-line library. I volunteered, and typed up The Anabasis myself, then all the other translated works of Xenophon that I could find.

The following year I was lucky enough to meet Dagny, who was starting work on Honoré de Balzac's series The Human Comedy. My younger brethren could get volumes from a set done by a different translator, and by mid-1999 we had managed to type them all.

We have worked on a number of other books since then, most notably H. Rider Haggard's fiction novels, which are now all on-line.
Software
Coding is one of those things that can benefit from a round tuit. Hopefully I will add more here when I get one.
